With Christmas less than a week away we are in full Christmas spirit here at the Festaburg.
Friday night we had our annual Christmas party. There was a crowd gathered as we sang Christmas songs, ate Christmas cookies, exchanged gifts and reflected on the Christmas story. It was a great evening.
Saturday began Christmas leave and many of our friends headed back to the states to celebrate Christmas with the families. However, our house was full of soldiers who are not able to return to the States. We made Christmas cookies while listening to Christmas music and watched Christmas movies.
On Sunday it began to snow. There was six inches of accumulation when it stopped Sunday afternoon.
This week David and Megan fly in from Denver. Beginning Christmas eve we will be full and we anticipate a house full of soldiers on Christmas morning opening gifts with us and then even more later in the day for Christmas dinner.
